Stripe Integration:
All payment card information is collected, processed, and stored by Stripe, our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor
We never store complete credit card numbers on our servers
Stripe handles security deposit authorizations and releases according to our Terms and Conditions
When an Owner requires a security deposit:
Stripe authorizes (holds) the deposit amount on the Renter's payment method
The Owner is charged the Stripe processing fee for the security deposit hold
Upon successful return of the item undamaged, Stripe automatically releases the security deposit back to the Renter
Processing fee information is stored for accounting and transparency purposes
